This workshop will be taught in TWO PARTS…..the first weeks (Sun 8/17) will focus on the TECHNIQUE and FOUNDATION of Bellydance (all the elements technically speaking that you need to have a solid foundation to grow your dance out of)……the second will be all about MUSICALITY and CHOREOGRAPHY of Bellydance (so you are able to turn your technical foundation into a beautiful performance that is the physical personification of the melody which you dance to-the ultimate goal of bellydance…..)

FEE is $150 for each part if you can only manage taking one of the two or $250 for both for the full learning experience……after all Bellydance is half technique and half the musicality of your dance when you are able to merge the music with the movements……

WHAT TO WEAR Whatever you feel comfortable dancing in. It is recommended that you get a bellydance hip scarf (bellydance belt), of which we have a great assortment. Those are beautifully beaded and imported directly from Egypt with coins and beads and help in accentuating the movements and weighing your hips down so you can see and feel what you are doing better. Class is done either barefoot or you can wear dance shoes (non-marking and thin soles) of which we have a good number as well, which our owner, Zein has designed and have them made specifically for our store in Egypt. They are made of genuine leather and come in a variety of sizes and colors.
